Contractor model or employer model?

Most small and growing NDIS agencies run one of two workforce models. Juste fully covers the contractor model and covers the operations layer of the employer model. Here is what that means in practice.
Contractor model (subcontractors)
Your workers operate under their own ABN and set their own rates. You roster and manage them through Juste and invoice participants on their behalf, or they invoice independently. Employee model (PAYG staff)
Your workers are employees — you withhold PAYG tax, pay super, hold workers compensation insurance and comply with the SCHADS Award. You will need a separate payroll tool such as Xero, MYOB or Employment Hero for the employment side.
